Welcome aboard Indoc –
We are excited you have chosen to be a part of the Lone Star Squadron and the United States Sea Cadet Corp. Attending the next drill could be the one thing that truly prepared them for training. Drill weekends are the second (2nd) full weekend of the month. Typically the cadets join the Indoc squadron for a period of time (typically 3 drill weekends) to learn basics, get fitted and issued uniform items and to complete the coursework.
- Get your cadet started on the course work required for graduating from Indoc to League / Sea Cadet. They work on this while you start with #2.
- Purchase the remainder of the uniform items.
- Review the uniform regulations to help you and the cadet understand how to apply each item. Pages are identified below.
- This takes 2 minutes, 1 piece of paper and a pen: Help you cadet make their list of items they need to request at paper call Saturday morning. (I write this list with my cadet and put it in their pocket. I tell him to take this list out and start with item 1 and not move to item 2 until item 1 has been addressed). Your cadet learned about paper call, so they can tell you what this is.
